79 Olds wagon X 72 Chevy Sub. diff.

I have a big learning curve ahead of me. Does any one know what information I need to determine if my donor cars (1979 Olds Custom Cruiser) 3.23 limitied slip diff. with a 8.75 ring gear will fit into my 1972 3/4 ton Suburbans housing? Will the Chevy splines match the Olds?
Thanks
Jim

It will not work, both assembly's (carrier, gears, housing, axles etc.) are completely different.
