'79 Trans Am Instrument Panel

Hey guys, I'm working on my '79 TA and I have replaced all the bulbs in my instrument panel, but I still am not getting much light around the speedo at all. I pulled the panel back out and was looking at the back and was wondering if there is supposed to be a wire or something attached to this black light plug with the connector on the back. If so, what color is the wire so maybe I can track it down. Thanks.
