79 Trans am steering knuckle..tight!

Hi, I am in the middle of rebuilding my TA's front suspension. I just installed the spring and steering knuckle and tightened the knuckle to specs(65lbs up /85lbs low. It seems really tight..like it would be an issue if I attempted to drive it. Before I do the other side I am looking for any info on this. I have greased the new fittings on the new upper/lower ball joints. THANKS!
Jim K.

Maybe one of the ball joints got damaged. It should turn fairly free and smoothly. If you cant turn it easily it almost has to be ball joints as that it what it turns on. Keep in mind that new ball joints are going to be stiff.
