8.2 or 8.5 10 bolt?

Hi My pinion nut is 1 1/8 so I'm assuming it is a 8.2 is that right? my car weighs 2440 and right now it is a 4 cyl with 5 speed OD .I will be going to a sbc 350 with about 350HP and a turbo 350 .this car is not a race car I drive it a lot to cruises and shows. Will the rearend I have now hold up with that motor and tranny? I'll have a 2500 stall converter. Will 8.5 internals fit in my housing? I'm probably going to have to change gear ratio because it now has 4:88 gears. What ratio would u recommend for this setup? Like I said it is street driven, but of course I like to do a burnout once in a while .I can get a good deal on a 3:08 posi would that be too high? I don't want to change my housing because all the brackets for coilovers,4 link and panhard bar are all on it any and all advice will be greatly appreciated

since its a driver 3.08's witha posi unit sound good with a TH350 it should be a respectable gear ratio with a good highway rpm as well (probably around 3000, a 10 blt will hold up to a 350hp small block, and 8.5's will not fit in the 8.2 housing. i say take the deal with the 3.08 posi unit, and watch your tranny when you put in the small block, maybe consider upgrading that, t5's or the mazda tranny arnt too strong and 320hp is about the limit you want to use with them
