8.5 GM 10 BOLT CARRIER SWAP, POSSIBLE??

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not a posi- carrier from an '86 monte ss 8.5 10 bolt could be used in a 70-81 camaro 8.5 rear end housing? I know the camaro rear is leaf and the monte spring, but I don't know if it makes a difference inside? Also, can rear disc brakes on a 7.5 10 bolt from an '80's camaro/ta be put on the 70-81 rear?
