8.5 Rear Axle List Upgrade for 67 skylark
I am in search of a List / Chart of GM 8.5 Rear Axles POSI Units from Approx. 1970--1990 that will pretty much be a" DIRECT FIT" for under my ''A" Body 67 2 door skylark. If I understand correctly "Most" of these are found in "A" AND "G" Body cars. The 8.2 open 2.56 I have in the car (worn bearing/leaky seals) etc...now parts are getting harder to find and extremely expensive --so to me its not worth it. My Idea is to stick a 8.5 --(3.23--3.42) posi unit behind the Buick 350-4bbl/Turbo 350 Transmission. A List/Chart would help my search at the Boneyard/Ebay/ Craigslist etc...Does anyone know of a website or if such a list/chart even exists.I realize there are other factors to consider like drive shaft lenghts/u joint yokes/Axle widths
rim/tire size etc....Has Anyone out there already done this---Thanks in Advance ----JIM
