Talking 8.55 run

been messin with my truck a little,adjusting timing,trying to shed weight and got my truck to run 8.55 in an 8th mile run. wanting to go to a bigger cam. have a 510 lift with 294 ad. duration,any body know if i could go with a 555 lift with a 306 ad. duration?

You could put anything you want in there.Just make sure it matches the rest of your setup and clay the pistons.To much cam will kill bottom end.

We've got to know what kind of heads you've got, how much compression, what kind of carb or injection, what kind of intake manifold, what size headers, because it already sounds like you'
ve got a fairly lumpy grind in thier, my advice would be to call a camshaft manufacturer and give them as much information as you possibly can about every aspect of your engine so they can get you the cam that will make the difference.
