Post 8.8 rearend bent (can it be fixed?)

this car was smashed right in front of the right rear tire goin forward and the car bounced off their car now that its fixed for soem reason i think its bent now because it only spins tire on the left side now for soem reason i want to know why the car doesnt dogtrack or anything but i still think its bent and i dont think im losing any more tranny fluid or rear end oil than i already did before WHAT HAPPENED?

Pull the right side axle. It should slide out easily. Check bearing alighnment, slip axle in till bearing is about to enter housing, does it line up with housing? From what you said you should have to force the axle to the rear of the car to make it alighn with housing. If bent take it to someone with a frame rack (like a body shop) see if they are willing to try and straighten it. You can use the axle method, explained above, but its best to use a rear axle jig like used when shortening or fabricating axle housings. Tough pull, best to get a new rear housing, pull the axles to make sure it is straight.

Are you sure you didn't just damage the axle and not the housing. Does the housing look ok? Have replaced many bent axles with new after accidents.
