8 Lug Chevy pattern questions

I was wondering about Chevy's 8lug bolt pattern and how modern of vehicles retain the same bolt pattern. I have a 66GMC 3/4ton with an 8lug pattern and would like to put some newer style wheels on it. I just dont know if a modern 8lug patterned wheel will fit. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

You do have to pay attention to the center hole size on factory wheels. The aftermarket wheels have a large center hole and fit all makes.

All Dodge and GM 8-lug patterns are still the same. Ford got stupid and changed the pattern on the super-doodies.

For the most part GM had the smallest center hole and Dodge and Ford were bigger (IIRC) so you should be able to put older ford or any dodge wheel on...but measure to be sure.
