8000 rpm chevy truck tach

Got a buddy looking for a 8000 rpm tach to bolt into his 69 chevy truck cluster. He swears he saw one at a swap meet that looked factory, but was capable of 8grand.

any ideas ???

Doc here,

I Don't know..

Might be looking at a Corvette tach for those years..But keep in mind also, it may be mechanical driven.

It could also be a Custom built, made to match..In which case , you'll not find another.

He can have one built to match for 8000, cost is around $350 to $600..If it's that important.

Doc
