80's Town car-Mopar Swap??

i was looking at a 80's lincoln and came to the conclusion a chevy wont fit in there w/ out some major working becase of the cross member, motor mount and fire wall issuses, but im thinking a small block mopar might do the trick seenings how they have both car and truck motor mounts, do all the dodge motors got car and truck mounts on them? what do u guys think of this? maybe its a long shot but im hoping some one here has done it,or somthing simular, long story short im building a lowrider lincoln and i dont wanna keep the 302, im leaning towrds a mild 360

All I can ask is W H Y ? ?
A Lincoln is a big heavy automobile ... a Chevy engine ... while cool and swapped into almost everything with wheels ... will not make the Lincoln quick, fast or a Hot Rod. Same for the Mopar engine ...

A Ford engine is the BEST choice ... if you must buy the Lincoln.

For all the trouble involved I would go with a 351 stroked to 392 in that car..it still won't be all that fast but it will be better and a lot easier to do..

i have had nothing but bad luck with ford motors, i dont want this car to be fast, low and slow, i just want it to be diffrent, and im assuming a dodge motor in a linc would gain me some points at shows aswell and im just a big mopar fan and would rather have a mopar then a ford...plus the 302 is fule injected and by the time i buy all the crap needed to make it carb and all i could prob have rebuilt a dodge motor for it lol

I'm sorry, but either from an economic or aesthetic perspective, it simply does not compute (to me anyways).

I've built many engines of all brands. If you've had problems with Fords, blame yourself and not the engine. This sounds like a complete exercise in futility. But whatever, do what you will. As I've jokingly said at work to my cohorts a million times over the years when someone was putting tons of cash into a worthless piece of fecal matter, "Oh, but look what you'll have when you're done!"
