83 Camero Brake question in 51 PU
The master cylinder, brake booster, and porportional valve were taken out of 1983 Camero and mounted in a 1951 Ford PU. I am trying to work out some bugs. The brakes currently are done wrong, both lines from the porportional valve run to the front drums, one to the left, the other to the right. Real interresting when you step on the brakes. The PU does not have disc brakes, drums front and rear. So can I disregard the valve and run the lines directly to the drums from the master cylinder? The large reservior to the rear the small reservior to the front?
I do not run a valve on my 23 Model T Roadster (77 Camero drivetrain) which use a two stage master cylinder out of a 90's Mustang and the brakes work on it just fine. Any help would be aprreciated. |

WELCOME to Hotrodders.com Did you install the master cylinder and stuff this way ??? or buy it ?? I would trash all that and start over ... with a master cylinder for a drum brake vehicle. A dual one and reroute the lines ... Just me ... again WELCOME ... Deuce ... |

Got the truck in a trade. The brakes had already been 'modified' with the camero MC, booster and PV. Thanks for the input. I've probably got a couple two stage MC's laying around I can use.
