Post 83 monte rears

I was talking with a friend of mine about hooking up with a posi, limited slip rear end for my 83 monte, he thinks that these rears are hard to find, for which I have no doubt.
What options do I have. She's got a rockin' 350 sbc and 350 turbo, but the rears are still to high for my liking and want to bring them to the 3:30's or so with a limited slip diff.
Any ideas or pointers.

By the way folks, what a riot it is to read about those ricers and such!

I think the whole rearend out of a Montecarlo SS will bolt in.They come w/3.42posi and the later ones w/ 3.73posi.Not all are posi though got to check. Thats what I'm looking into.Go to www.montecarloss.com there was something there about rear swaps.(if I remember right I've been on a million monte sites)I think they got a rear from a T-type regal.

I installed a Ford 9" rear(3.9) w/a 700r4 in my El Camino frame(same frame only longer). Cut the bracket from your rear & weld them on the 9". The upper ears are cast so you will have to buy them from Currie < $100.......Don
