Angry 84 camaro rear brake conversion

I have an 84 z28 and recently while luckily only going about 3 or 4 mph my driverside rear axel and wheel pulled completely out of the rearend. i had it toed home and after opening the case i found the C clip laying in the bottom in one piece. it apears whoever but the 373's in it shimed one side not the other leaving a very small part of the gear acctually holding the clip in. Ive been looking for another rearend and came along a trade i can do for a camaro posi 373 rear with disc brakes! My car has drum in the back right now and im wondering how hard it will be to change? the rear is out of a 3rd gen like mine but will i need the master cylinder aswell or just a block or valve of something!

I think you will need the master cylinder and proportioing valve from a dics brake car. The valving is different. There may be a valve or restricter that you can remove from the master. There was on some of the older ones.
