84 Camaro Rear Ends

Does anyone out there know what rear ends will work in an 84 Camaro. I would like to put a positrac 373 in the car and if I can find one already set up that would be great1

The only rears that will bolt in are from the 82-92 Third Generation camaro/Firebird because of the torque are suspension that is used. There are no other interchanges unless you go to custom aftermarket 9" Ford or 12-bolt Chevy's made specific for these cars. The factory rear end is easily the worst feature on these cars and has very little strength(the original design for this rear assembly was for the VEGA 4 cylinder power).

Thanks

I should have realized that because of the the torque arms. I can imagine the 9 inch Fords cost and arm and a leg. I appreciate your reply; it helps a great deal.

Aren't these still the puny little 7.5/7.625" ring gear 10-bolt?? Plus they are wider??
