84 firebird with 700r4 transI
I have replaced the carb on an 84 firebird with a Holley 4 barrel on the V6 engine. I added the TV cable linkage adaptor. The transmission now does not shift. Did I miss something? Is there more controlls than the TV cable? I have not worked on cars for 20 years, so please treat me as a real novice.

the trans is probably a 700r4 and you must use a linkage adapter for the trans cable, these transmissions are more than a little touchy about the cable adjustment and leverage on the side of the arm. this must be correct or the trans won't last.
