Post 85 chevy 305 heads on an 89 TBI chevy 350?

THis is for my daily runner, and first time into this. I'm interested in getting this blazer on the road. Could I put 85 305 heads on the 89 TBI Blazer 350? The valve cover on the 350 have the 4 centerbolts holding them down, and the 85 has them around the outer edge. I'm looking for a cheap fix and I have the 305 heads. Any comments?
Thanks,
John

you will have a compression ratio increase with the 305 heads, they have smaller chambers and smaller valves also the intake is not compatible unless you modify the center 4 bolt holes,

Couple more questions:
If I would put the old heads on with the 89 maniford could I still run 87 octane gas, and what modifications would need to be done to the intake manifold. I would like to keep the TBI.
Thanks

doubt if you can use cheap gas, you have to slot the holes in the intake and use a tapered spacer washer, it's kind of a cobble, but it works in a low budget job.
