Post 85 mustang gt exaust

i have an 85 mustang gt and im in the middle of building a 302 w/about 300 horse range. i am very confused on my exaust choices. i want an x-pipe cause ive heard alot of good things about them. but ive also heard good things about h-pipes. also what company would be best. i hear flowtech has cheap quality. maybe bbk, bassani???i know i want to run long tube headers, probably bbk.anybody out there who has an answer for me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks. its also a 5spd.

Bassani = mucho dinero. Learned that the hard way.

For more ideas, you may want to check out the stangbangers bunch over at the corral. Generous group of guys n gals.

I'm quite sure someone over there has "been there and done that" and can help you out.

get a set of mac long tubes and a dr gas x pipe and a mac cat back exhaust. and power on a stock mustang was 34 hp above 4000 rpm. proven on the dyno .
has a great sound as well. pretty cost effective too.

I had and h-pipe and dual Flowmasters and it sounded like I had single muffler into duals, it sounded horible! So I had the h-pipe cut out and it sounded a whole heck of alot better . But I don't know, didn't notice a difference in power, but 4hp can't be felt to much on the street.
