85 Regal rear end dilema

Here's the deal. I have an 85 Regal with SBC 355 putting out 385 HP and 420 lb/ft TQ........in the car now is a 7.5" 3.42 rear end with posi........freshly rebuilt.......I have the opportunity to pick up a brand new Currie 9 inch, 31 spline Moser Axles, 3.50 with Tru-Trac for $ 1300 installed.
What would you do?

If it is a ready to be installed ( built for the Regal ) 9 inch ... I would be laying the $$$ in the guys hands NOW. End of story.

That's a LOT of goodies for the money.

It is a direct bolt on for the G-Body.

With only 385HP/420TQ ... you will never hurt the 9 inch

The 9 inch also gives you the easy way to change rear end gears ... if you want to get serious and go to the track. The 9 inch also has better axle bearings ...

The only downside is that the 9 inch has a higher parasitic drag factor ... ( has a slightly higher loss of power to the rear wheels ... due to friction and engineering factors )
