87 5.7 Tbi

Can anyone tell me if an older carb 5.7 block and be used on a 87 5.7 TBI using the heads and intake from the TBI engine?

Yes, but you'll need the older engine's flywheel or flexplate to bolt to your clutch or torque converter as the older engine will have the 2 piece seal crankshaft which uses a different bolt pattern on the flange from that of one piece seal blocks.

Follow FastOrange's comment, I forgot to mention that if the cam is different the TBI will not track correctly to mixture and advance. It's really sensitive to this.
