87 cavalier ecm short

Hi ya folks
this is a simple one for those with a manual.......
the car is a 1987 2liter efi ohc multi point injection
cavalier auto wagon .
here the car is called a camira but is the J body cavalier to you.

next to and under the heater controls is a plug or jack that allows you to short or earth the engine control module (ECM)
the unit is the delco type ecm i beleave it is standard for many cars.

i am looking for the pins that i need to short so i can reset the timing....
used to know of by heart and no longer have the book to refer to

ie pins 1 to 6...or 6 to 8...or 3 to 4 is all i need to know....
i know they are listed as a,b,c,d,l,m
thanks one and all
