hey guys i just bought an '87 chevy 1/2 4x4... when im turning the wheel at any appreciable amount of speed i hear a lot of noise from the front end... i dont think its the tires cause it would be making the noise all the time... any help or ideas would be appreciated.... thanx
Do you have auto hubs or manual?
Check the brake pads, wheel bearings, u-joints, and everything else in the hub/spindle assembly. There are lots of parts in there that could be causing your noise. Chances are you haven't serviced them in a long time so break out the shop manual and get at it.
