87 Chevy Stepside - Tire suggestions

I am restoring a 87 stepside. I am not lowering it. keeping stock height. Looking for some help on the tire size. I want to get a wide rear tire but not sure what size is right. Looking for some suggestions.

I was looking at 275x60R15 tires but not sure if the 9" is wide enough.

Any help and direction I would appreciate it.

275's are almost 11'' wide.

Sounds not bad to me.

You could probably go with 295's, that truck has a big wheelwell(275's ar just short of 28"). Depends on what youre trying to achieve. Are you going for a drag type look, big tires on the back, smaller on the front? Or are you going to put the same size tire all the way around.

Big tires on the back, smaller up front.
Thinking 275x60 R15 back and 235 70 R15 front.

My concern is the distance in the wells and the 80's trucks seem to sit in from the side of the fenders.

I believe that's close to the combination I had on my 79.

yea want to run 235 70 up front.

I found a nice set of old school slots that Im going to get. No centers for them. Can I just pick up a center ? do I need special ones or just ones for a 5x5 bolt pattern?
