88 350 tbi engine upgrade

i have a 1988 chevy blazer with a stock tbi 350, i want to put a 350 that is bored .030 over has has vortec heads and a comp 4x4 extreme cam in it. i know i will have to change intakes to bolt my tbi on but i dont know what to do to make the computer work with that engine. i have been told i just have to change the cam to one that is made for the computer but im not sure if i need to do anything else or not

To use a TBI with that many mods you will need to have it dyno tested so a new chip made for that set up can be burned. The vortec heads far outflow the swirl vane stockers that came in these trucks, and it won`t be close to right unless you have the right chip made. The cheaper alternative would be to go backwards to a carb. You will likely also need higher flowing injectors as well as installing a vacuum controlled adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

About 216 @ .050 is all a TBI engine wants to get it to idle. They hate cams with any more duration.
