88' camaro front springs

I am putting a SBC into a 88' camaro that has a 2.8 in it now. I keep hearing about using stiffer front springs.

Every place I look, shows one spring for 88's no matter which engine.

Any place that I should check for these or is this correct?

You KNOW that a SBC is heavier than a V6 2.8
So the springs will be too.....

Coil springs should always be replaced in matched sets.....and it is possible that on a 17 year old car........the after market suppliers are only making 1 set of springs.... But I would be willing to BET that General Motors listed a couple of different spring rates in 1988.

I suggest finding a Camaro/Firebird of the same generation as yours in the salvage yard and getting a set of V8 springs......

DEUCE........

The ones in the bone yards around here have the twist in spacers/helpers in them already.

I left my six cylinder springs in mine and never had an issue.
