89 Chevy Dash Break Light Blinking

I have a 89 Chevy, reg. cab, 2-wheel drive that has a light on the dash that keeps blinking. It says "Break." I thought it was for the parking break, but checked it and it was OK. Peddle not depressed. I checked the front pads, rotors, rear shoes and drums. All OK. No owners manual so I'm not sure what it means when it's blinking. Anyone have any idea what it's trying to tell me?

I would check the ebrake switch and the fluid level to start. A lot of vehicles have a sensor in the master cylinder to detect fluid level.

Could be a problem with your ABS system I would have the codes in your ECM checked.

you have an old RWAL system. it is blinking as there is a antilock problem.I do not remember the procedure for code extraction on that system but I think the Mc Parts guys at auto zone can tell you.
