89 chevy p/u,98 cheyv p/u swap

i have a 89 chevy 1/2 ton p/u, im wanting to put a dash out of a 98 in my truck...im not sure what year they started changing the dash but i like it better then the 89 style...i have done some researching and found that a lot of stuff is the same...grill...the body is all the same from what i can tell...i need to know if anyone else has done any research and found out anything..and if there is anything else i can do to my chevy to customize it..thanks...

After you pull all the trim and as you can off the donor dash off you'll have the same piece of bare metal staring at you. Mounting holes should all be there and make sure to grab as many of the screw clips off the donor dash as you always lose them and are 1 short in the end.

I think they changed the interior around 94 or 95. Almost all of the body and interior parts can be interchanged to include that body style escalade. Check out www.gmfullsize.com or www.fullsizechevy.com . These guys are dedicated to the trucks.

hey, thanks for the sites..they are pretty nice..i joined the forums...does anyone know of anything else i can do to change my truck a lil bit....im wanting to do a lot but i dont know what to do or what i can do...im wanting to do some fiberglass work but know nothing about that and it pretty expensive around here to have ANYTHING at all done..thanks..

fiberglass is pretty much a straighforward learn as you go experience...i just recently tried doing it cause i have alot of interior plastic panels that are nasty and scraxched up badly..i was wanting to do it cause of how smooth it makes it and its ALOT better to paint glass then it is to try painting the normal surface, a good site to learn alot about glassin is www.minitruckzone.com ...just join the site its free and read up everything and be glassing in no time,hope it helps,

hey, thanks for the site, i will have to check it out one day...i am at work on my lunch break and dont want to use their computers to much, and i h\dont know what all i can do on here..but i will check it out one night when i get home..anyone else know of anything i can do to my truck???im thinking about the led blinkers in my mirros.
