Question 9"Ford rear end help

I have a 9" ford in a Pro Street S-10.Can I put a 31 spline mini spool in a carrier that had 28 spline axle gears?

If you use a 31 spline spool what are you going to do with your 28 spline axles? Why don't you just get a 28 spline spool so you don't have to change your axles? Gears shouldn't make a difference.

If you're going to put that much power to the rear axle's that you think you need a 31 spline spool then I would pop for some good 31 spline axles. Just my take on the subject..GK

My new Moser Engineering axles came in yesterday.
Dang they look nice
All most to nice to put inside the housing!

You should have mentioned you already had axles ordered on your first post . I believe the 31 spline spool and axles should work without changing the whole carrier.

A guy had those made up for the Buick vs Ford race at Noble,OK.
We put those on your Buicks to give the Fords a hard time.It was all in fun!
Guess what they won so the joke was on us.
We have a good time at that race!
See some fast cars Ford and Buicks.
