That is a 9 inch Ford with a 3.00 gear and Traction Lock (posi) differential. What kind of brackets are on it? What brakes does it have? How wide is it? What is the bolt pattern on the axles?

it came out of a limo. it has a coil suspension, large drum brakes, not sure how wide as it is in a machine shop getting narrowed to fit my street rod project. have to cut i down about 6" total to fit. any more info you might have would be great. i want to go get some new shoes and brake cylinder rebuild kits so i am sure they will want to know what it came out of....ed

I'm not very familiar with Ford car chassis, but it could be a '70s T Bird or Cougar.

AFA replacement brake parts, you can use casting numbers off the cylinders and drum dimensions to get the right parts,
Have you considered a disc swap? Many '95 up Ford Explorers came with rear discs that will pretty much bolt-on to a big bearing 9".

A differential out of a limo , I would have thought a 9-3/8 center section?
