9 inch filler plug ( please help!!!!)

Ok I need those guys out there that have ford 9 inch rear ends in their vehicleto please go out there and accurately measure how high up from the bottom is their filler plug. I have a housing and chuck without a drain plug( from different years) (my screw up)
Thats ok though...
I need to drill the filler hole and the drain hole.
Im probably going to use 3/4 pipe thread , but i need to know exactly where to put it on my housing, please give me some measurements i can use
Thanx!!!
P.S. Can you tell me also exactly how much oil a 9 inch can withhold.

The photo shows where FORD put the fill hole.

1966 and earlier have the fill hole.

I drilled mine about 1/2 inch higher......

I drew a line from axle tube to axle tube and put my hole so the the fill level would NOT be above the axle tubes.

I wanted the fluid level to be all the way up to where it was ALMOST ready to get in the axle tubes.

You must have a pre 67 case installed into a later than 66 housing.....

BEEN THERE............Done that....
