Is a '90-'92 427 Chevy motor worth anything

I found a guy that has a 427 tall deck out of a '90-'92 Chevy grain truck that he wants to sell for $300.00 (he thinks it runs but not sure). Is this year of 427 worth $300.00. How many H.P. would it be rated at? It's a fuel injected motor, would the old style intakes fit this one?

As a complete, swap in and use, type motor. It won't be impressive. Just a big heavy piece of iron.. BUT the value is in the Hot Rod potential.. The block, rods, crank are valuable. The pistons/heads are not. The heads are dogs..

Now, take that block, build it with aftermkt pistons and long rods. Then you can have fuel dragster potential... Aftermkt heads and the correct intake and you have a mighty beast of an engine.

I would give $300. just for the block and crank cores. Just pull the pan, check and make sure they are good..

wait... wouldn't that be a tall deck motor? needing a longer distributor or something like that? is it carbed? or EFI? would probably make a gob of torque, but HP would be low until you start throwing money at it... come to think of it, it may be a 454.... then you'd really be getting a good deal at $300... but if you don't want it... i got a friend in monroe that could take it off your hands...
