90 Chevy truck
I have a 90 Chevy truck with a blown motor but I have 305 with casting #378450 heads. I tried putting the tbi intake on this motor but the 2 bolt holes in the middle of the intake does not match up all the way. I would really like to use this motor in the truck but the intake is my only problem. Every thing else seems to bolt right on the motor. What can I do about this problem.

The center intake bolts are not compatible. You need a pre-TBI intake.

i believe you can get an adapter to mount the TBI unit on the old intake.
another possible option, i've seen a number of people grind on the center bolt holes to elongate them & then use washers & silicone to cover and seal the holes. |
