Is there a way to disable the converter from locking?
I only ask this because the car belongs to my neighbor, a 93 year old lady who only needs the car to get around town to the grocery store and church, and she has very little money. She should not need to go faster than ~ 40 mph.
Can I permanently jumper the OBD1 ALDL connector to keep the ECM in test mode, therefore disable ling the converter lock-up?
