Mitch I would say add some aftermarket parts on the engine combo you have. Headers and and exhaust system works well on these cars. What have you done for performance already? Stick with fuel injection, IMHO its better.

Start with some after market parts, Headers, exhaust x2, upgrade intake runners, modify computer calibration, adjustable fuel regulator, and etc...

This is a tuned port not a throttle body correct?

Yes I would suggest that the engine be in good condition for a turbo kit.

Why not just drop the 350 under the fuel injection? What does a "stage 1" turbo entail? I hear that all the time in (no offense) the ricer world but I doubt if any of them really know what they are talking about or know the first thing about turbos. I am curious as to what "stage 1" parts refers to? Or is it just the amount of boost you plan to run?

Dont be afraid of keeping the FI, especially if its a Tuned Port setup. There are plenty of people here (me included) that have loads of hours on the TPI setups and would be more than willing to help.
