91z 700r4 to th350 conversion

im new to this. I took out 700r4 and had th350 that was good and started putting it in. there are bolt holes for the crossmember that i need but do you know what kind i need to get. also torque bar will not bolt to 350 any ideas?

there are conversion kits for this. you need a 9 inch tail t-350 tranny and the proper kit for the torque arm to mount.

Try Jegs , Summit , a google search may help, a Camaro specific board where guys probably done this many times.

It does seem like a backward step to install a t-350 tranny. Many guys change to a 700 in early cars that it was not offered in

if you have little cash , not sure what the best avenue is.

It takes cash to swap to the 3 speed auto & it takes money to build the 700 tranny if needed.

Just swap tailshaft housings to solve your Torque arm problem. They're interchangable.

swapping a 700r4 torque arm style tail housing onto a t-350?

that will solve nothing. The t-350 main case is shorter , the torque arm will not meet up with the torque arm mount

700 to 350 conversion

where are you at in n.c? i have the parts to do the conversion, i have driveshaft, torque arm, crossmember, and torque arm mount. i got them out of an 82 camaro. the swap was common on the early 3rd gens. shoot me an email if ur interested.
