Harness
I would trash it, and I know how to modify the harness to make it work! I have found that it is easier to pay $1500 for a computer and harness that looks cleaner and is Programmable!!! The stocker will have to be flashed each time at a cost, But with the aftermarket ones you simply plug in the programmer and make your own adjustments that the factory ones can't do. You can adjust the lockup for any gear at any speed you wish and make it unlock at ANY throttle angle that you wish. You also can get units that will tell you 0-60 and quarter mile times and even HP and Torque. Shift firmness is easily adjusted and you can adjust the boost so that it shifts slick when crusing and boost alot when you hammer it so that you rip the rear tires in second and third! Plus you have a manual shift wire that you can connect to have full manual shifts at the touch of a button!!!
Man I have been there and done that and after you bite the bullet and buy a unit from CompUshift you will be very pleased and will never spend a whole week wiring, installing, and troubleshooting a stock conversion harness. Our labor rate is $65.00 an hour times 40 hours a week gives ya $2600 to play with! We figure with a 4 to 6 hour install including trans install and tuning... We still have saved about $800.00 and gave the customer a better looking product (has a cool display too) which makes our shop look better cause people always ask...What's that screen do? LOL Anyhow think about it but that's just what I have learned and practice now...Good luck with your project
