92 G20 van rear end... Givin it all i got to get it out

ok got the van on jack stands, one tire off and ive got one leaf spring nut off.. The bolt is still in the frame and leaf shackle. Its the back shackle. I came here to ask, (first time thing) how you guys get rear ends out.

to get stubborn u-bolts
you may need to get out a big breaker bar with a pipe on the handle for an extension
or just cut them with a torch or sawsall

chevy302builder18,

Pry bars, BIG hammers, floor jack and a come-a-long and maybe a few CHOICE WORDS. And if these do not do the trick then I WILL use the Victor wrench!

Victor wrench is a torch. also known as a hot wrench.. When I have to pull a rear end, torch is what I use if I can. U bolts should be replaced every time so theres no reason not to, as it wont damage the springs. At the junkyard, I use a cheater bar and hope they break quick..

If this is the same van that's getting scrapped. I'd just cut the hangers off with a sawsall or a torch.

yup sure getting scraped. i dont gotta torch to cut but i gotta grinder. thinking itll be a lil more time with grinding the hangers and stuff. planning this out ill have to save some mullah for the U bolts and dont get me wrong... im broke. but sure be fun addition to the rod. its a semi floater 3.42 gears. sure make a good add for the rod.
