93 mustang build

I have a stock 93 mustang. 5.0 motor 5 speed tranny. I'm wanting to put heads intake cam on it. I want to use my stock bottom end and keep it fuel injected. Anyone know any combinations that work really well b4 I start purchasing new parts?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Depends on what your trying to do. If your trying to keep it on the street, I would run a mild cam, some GT40 heads and GT40 intake. Aluminum heads are nice and usually flow like a bat outta hell but their very high maintenance. They have to stay cool or they'll warp. Thats hard when your battling stop light to stop light.

Now if you don't drive it often thats another story, Aluminum heads (AFR's or Trick Flows) Holley or Edelbrock Intake and a beefy cam roller rockers. But if you do all that you gotta swap out those crappy piston 93 blocks have.

Don't forget you can add some kick in the pants with some gears for that rear end 3.55 are good for the street, 3.73 are dual purpose gears (track and street) and 4.10 are track gears.

Just a word of advice. Whatever you do to it, drive it friendly or you'll be replacing the tranny. Those factory T5's are junk.

Or get a spare or two, and learn how to build/repair them. It aint hard once you do it a few times.

It's not a daily driver just a toy. So I'm thinking aluminum heads. But I was wondering if anybody had a combination that worked reall well

I would look at a trick flow combo, they already did the homework

My friend has the trick flow kit on his car so I'm trying to find something different. You know I got to try to be faster than him.
