93 Mustang EEC-IV Code 334

I have a check engine light problem with my Mustang. The Actron tester gives me a code 334 which is the dpse on the EGR valve. I've changed that and checked for corrosion at the wire connection. By the way, It is a 2.3 dual plug 4 cyl.
Now I'm just plain lost. I have no idea where to go; I have the Ford manual but can't even begine to follow it as I don't have their testing facility. Can anyone lend a hand?....Thanx, Pliskin

It could be the valve itself. Start the eng up to operating temp. Take a mighty Vac hand pump or hook straight vaccum up to the egr valve. If the engine studders and boggs and or dies the EGR is working correctly. If stays running the same the valve could be gunked up with carbon or the egr passage could be clogged. I hope this helps you.
