I believe the factory rated them at 225. But experiance makes me wonder. I would guess around 210.

Yeah, factory 5.0 H.O. put out 225hp and 310 torque. Being that its in a truck, its not a H.O., it will probably make more toruqe, but less hp. 210 is a good guess.

A 1994 50 in a f150 truck was rated at 150hp from ford, the early crown-viks share the same motor . Is the truck speeddensty or masairflow?EFI

You're not going to like this

Truck 5.0L are rated at 185HP and 285ft-lbs.

The HO motors are 200-225HP and 300ft-lbs depending on the year.

The truck uses the same heads as the Mustang HO motor (E7) but has lower compression, cast pistons etc etc

Swap in a motor from a mustang for a nice power increase.

Mine is strong to

I hava 92 Ford F-150 extracab and mine is strong. Much stronger than a thought it would be. My sister gave it to me, and it has a lot of miles on it, 229,000, but rund great and uses almost no oil. She had a leak once and now I have a busted exhaust manifold on the passenger side but it still runs strong and it is not loud, not yet anyway.
