94-96 Impala SS

I have been recently searching for one of my dream cars, which is an 94-96 Impala SS. I know that they go for a lot but i was wondering about the mileage. I see most of the have over a 100 grand. But I don't want to pay 12,000 and the car goes out on me. So I was wondering if anyone knew how many miles are too many for that LT1. thanks.

My buddy has a 94 Camaro that had the LT1 in it with aluminum cylinder heads on it (the Impala's had cast heads) when we removed the engine it was still running real Strong and it had 148,000+ miles. We replaced it with a built LT4. I would say keep looking around 12k sound high for this car with that many miles.

i like the "bubble" style myself. I have a 92 "bubble" caprice but i'm putting a 383 stroker in mine

as far as how long is LT1 motors good for mileage wise, well it depends how well the car has been taken care of or how much abuse it already went through

so if it came from someone young (most likely in there late teens or 20's) i wouldn't even bother. i'd look elsewhere

i've seen one up to 175k still running strong but than again it's still owned by the 1st owner too. who infact is 56 and loves his car, he says it's his "pride and joy"

he talks more about his car than anything else
