94 c1500 Tranny swap

Hey guys I was wondering if I could put my Th2004r tranny into my c1500 as the ranny thats in the truck is acting up. Will the 2004r bolt right up and work with no issues. there both 4 speed overdrives. If not what will I have to do??

Thanks for the help

Assuming you have a 200-4R with the universal bellhousing (some were BOP only), yes it will bolt to the motor. Unfortunately, that's all you can do. The original 700R4 is a different length, so the crossmember and driveshaft are different. Your VSS may or may not fit the 200-4R either. After all this trouble to swap it, at least you'll have a trans that is probably too weak for your application, so you'll get to swap it again in a few weeks.

+1. I'd also like to add that you'll probably be missing the deep first gear the 700r4 has if you actually use it as a truck compared to the 2004r. Also a 94 has a 4L60E right? If so, I hope you have a manual transmission ECM.
