94 GMC Yukon Torsion Bars (Lowering)

I have a 94 GMC Yukon that I want to drop the front end 2". It has torsion bars and I want to know if I can drop the front end with the stock "keys" or do I have to order the lowering "keys?"

You should be able to get close to the 2" you are after with the OE keys. Each rotation of the adjusting bolt is approx. 1/8"
Jack it up, support the frame, let the wheels hang to take the tension off of the bolts, then back them off. I usually leave them 1-1 1/2 turns tighter from no contact between the bolt and the key. Check for equal ride height from side to side on level ground.
The keys are needed when you start looking for 3-4" drop.
