94 Z71 TBI to carb.

Hi guys,

I am considering dumping the throttle body on my 94 5.7 due to tunning problems. It is an automatic. What will I have to do as far as the transmission is concerned?

Thanks,

RLT-Z71

the trans is electronic controlled..4l60e. you must have a TPS on the carb for proper input to the vehicle computer for trans control - shifts - pressure control.

If you are removing the whole computer system , the transmission will not shift, speed-O will not function, engine will run poorly unless you change the distributor

for the cost of the tcu you may want to consider swapping in a 700r4.
