95 Chevy p/u engine swap electrical q's

I'm getting ready to do an engine swap on my truck. Right now it has the stock 350 tbi setup, almost 300k miles on it. Been a very good motor..Anyways, i have a crate motor on order (383 stroker, 450hp 420tq) that is going to use a carb...I know a lot of people have done this and i have, for the most part, the mechanical hookup plan down..My question has to do with the computer and any problems i might run into with the accessories hooked to it. I know from talking to a chevy tech that the computer runs speedo, controls some timing, fuel pressure, anti lock brakes, possibly cruise control (not sure on this one). I may be forgetting something...For now, just doing one big project at a time, i'm leaving the computer hooked up to the accessories. Is there anything other than the "service engine soon" light problem that i will encounter? Thanks for any help given...

I will still never understand why anyone wants to give up their tbi for a carb. But anyways, what year is the vehicle, does it have the 4l60E?
