95 town car. air ride switch to springs???
i have a well running 95 lincoln town car but the bags went out and dont care to replace them. iv heard alot about the conversion kits but it seems a set of springs off of a crown vic and shocks would work fine if anyone has ever done this or has any advice such as a parts list i would love it. IF I DONT GET THIS CARS *** OFF THE GROUND MY WIFE IS GONNA USE OUR NEWFOUND TAX MONEY ON A "NEW" CAR! and ineed the dough for my 327!!!! please help i dont have much time.
I've done this on a 98 Lincoln Town Car, very easy to do. I got the Springs & Shocks on ebay. It cost me about $50 for Springs and $20 for Shocks.
Some Info here>> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...&aqi=&aql=&oq= shop around for the best price.
Car rode good after swap to me. Sat slightly higher in rear, maybe an inch. It's not gonna be the floating cloud ride the Air Bags provided but, it's cheap. If you want smoother/softer throw a few kids in the trunk. :D
Spring kit came with instructions showing which wire to unplug in trunk to disable Air Pump.
