96 camaro oxygen sensors

I have a 96 Z28 Camaro with 135,000 miles, the CES light comes on periodically usually when the weather warms up and goes out as the weather cools down. Could this be caused by the oxygen sensors and if so, how difficult are they to change?

Have the codes checked for free at any major chain parts store.

If it is the O2 sensors, they aren't too bad to do... if they come out. My last LT1 O2 sensor swap required welding a new bung in the exhaust. No amount of heat or torque could break it free. We had it glowing cherry red, then while putting two guys on the wrench we quenched it with water. We bent the wrench and the cat's inlet pipe.

The code should say which sensors are bad. If not, 99% of the time its the ones in front of the cat since they are the ones that tell the engine how to run. The ones behind it are for the OBD2 to verify proper operation of the cats

If you end up changing the sensor, put some anti-sieze on the threads of the new one before screwing it in.

How cold does it have to be for the light to go out. The evap system doesnt do checks if it is less than 40 degrees out.
