'96 Corvette Lt1 Head - Angle Or Straight Plug

Are the spark plugs in the STOCK '96 LT1 Corvette Head a Straight or Angle plug? I am needing to purchase a set of Block Hugger Headers and see that the Headers come for either a Straight or Angle plug. The pictures in the books for the different headers look pretty much the same to me and the plugs in the head really don't give me the answer. Appreciate you helping this dummy out with an answer.......

Lift the hood...Go take a peek!

I believe the problem is that you don't know the difference between the two, right?

A search will define the difference between the two & then you would know. You could ask someone what the difference is, but then the question begs to be asked,

"How is it that you did not take the time to ask the people you were buying the headers from what the difference is, isn't that part of their job?

It has to do with if the plug holes are drilled straight into the heads, or at an angle.

Your heads are cast iron, they do have straight plugs. Only the aluminum version use angled plugs. Actually the port flow is better than the aluminum head, or so I've read- I don't own a flow bench, nor have I built an engine to test them back-to-back at the track. But I tend to believe it from what actual owners have said.

Here is a A body forum (there are others) that will have info on headers: B-body Impala SS/Caprice Engine Tech Forums

Good luck.

Are these for a corvette. You need to buy headers that are made for the corvette regular block huggers might not fit well. Corvette has very little room under the hood even thought it looks clear nothing seems to fit unless its made to.
