96 Suburban W/4L60E

When I was driving my Suburban going about 75 mph and it started to hesitate and then when i came to a hill it started slowing down and when i gave it gas the rpm guage went crazy and the check engine light started flashing and then it was 30 mph after that. As far as i know the speedo is working ok, not really sure how to check if it functioning correctly. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks in advance.

Inspect all your wiring for a short. Check all your grounds. Get a service manual with a schematic...it sure sounds electrical to me.

ANY diagnosis on this vehicle requires a scanner. The info from the scanner in the hands of an experienced tech will reveal the true answer. Wiring diagrams and manuals only help you when you know the failure and its cause on computer controlled vehicles (this is one). Don't kid yourself into believing otherwise.
