98 700r4trans diagramneeded

proud owner of 98 tahoe givento me i have problem its stuck in 4low needto get it in 2 hi todrive it can someone help have no money to take it to gm service thanks

Most likely the shift motor on the transfer case is stuck. I have had some success removing them and cleaning them out to get them working again. If you just need to get it into 4 hi you can remove the shift motor and change turn the shaft in teh transfer case to the proper selection. Just leave the shift motor off or turn it by hand and leave it unplugged.

90% of these issues are the shift motor. I have seen a few modules go bad but they are generally bad due to the motor going bad

Does your unit have a set of buttons on the dash that shift the transfer case? If so, this video might help.
